AhlulBayt News Agency - The High Command of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has been forced to redeploy their soldiers from the Palmyra (Tadmur) front to northwestern Syria in order to quell the threat posed by the Jihadist groups inside the Al-Ghaab Plains and northeast Latakia.
On Monday evening, a military source reported that two regiments from the Tiger Forces have been redeployed from Palmyra to the Al-Ghaab Plains (Sahel Al-Ghaab) in the northwestern countryside of the Hama Governorate.
These regiments from the Tiger Forces will be under the direct command of Colonel ‘Ali Shaheen in the Al-Ghaab Plains.
With the top commander of the Tiger Forces, Colonel Suheil Al-Hassan, in the Aleppo countryside at the moment, his understudies will champion these fronts and drive the enemy forces back.
It is important to note that several regiments from the Tiger Forces are still entrenched near the ancient city of Palmyra; they will protect the area from the so-called Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) terrorists.
Unfortunately, the scarcity of reserves in the Syrian Arab Army means that the Palmyra-Deir Ezzor Highway offensive will be put on hold for the time being.
